Nest OS Privacy Policy

Nest OS is a personal and household financial management application published under the YaerYield brand. This Privacy Policy explains how Nest OS accesses, uses, stores and protects information when you use the app.

By using Nest OS, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information you provide

Nest OS may process information that you enter directly into the app, including:

• name and account profile information

• email address used for authentication

• household name and household membership information

• accounts and transaction records you enter

• budgets and spending plans

• bills and payment reminders

• savings goals and contributions

• loan, debt and EMI information

• Emergency Fund planning information

• School Fund planning information

• reports and financial planning data

• profile or household images that you choose to upload

• Nest OS is designed as a planning and record-keeping application. You decide what financial information you enter into the app.

2. Account and authentication information

Nest OS uses account authentication to identify users and control access to household data.

Authentication and backend data services are provided using Supabase. Supabase Auth stores authentication-related information and can use access tokens together with Row Level Security policies to control access to database records.

Where supported, you may also sign in using an available identity provider such as Google.

Nest OS does not ask you to provide your account password to YaerYield support.

3. Financial information

Financial data entered into Nest OS may include balances, transactions, budgets, bills, savings targets, loans, debt information, school planning and emergency reserve information.

Nest OS does not directly connect to your bank, demat account, investment broker or other financial institution unless a future feature is explicitly introduced and separately disclosed.

Nest OS does not execute financial transactions or investment trades on your behalf.

4. Household sharing

Pro Household may allow authorized household members to share selected household financial information.

Access is controlled using household membership and permission rules.

Only users who are authorized members of a household are intended to access that household’s shared data.

5. Profile and household images

If you choose to upload a profile or household image, Nest OS may store that image for use within the app.

Uploaded images are handled using controlled storage access and are not intended to be publicly searchable.

You can choose not to upload an image.

6. Notifications

Nest OS may request permission to send local notifications for features such as:

• bill reminders

• Emergency Fund reminders

• School Fund reminders

• Financial Calendar events

Notification permission is controlled by your device settings.

You can disable reminder preferences within Nest OS or change notification permission in your device settings.

7. Google Play subscriptions

Nest OS may offer paid subscriptions through Google Play, including Pro Solo and Pro Household plans.

Google Play processes subscription purchases and payment information.

Nest OS receives purchase and subscription information required to verify entitlement, such as product identifiers, purchase tokens, subscription state and related verification information.

YaerYield does not directly receive or store your full payment-card details from Google Play.

8. Advertising

The Free version of Nest OS may display advertisements using Google Mobile Ads.

Pro Solo and Pro Household are designed to be ad-free.

Where advertising is enabled, Nest OS may use Google’s consent mechanisms before advertising services are initialized where required.

Google explains that non-personalized ads may still use limited device information for purposes such as frequency capping and aggregated reporting, while limited ads disable features requiring local identifiers.

For users in regions where consent requirements apply, including the EEA and UK, Google requires appropriate disclosure and consent mechanisms for advertising and local storage where legally required.

Nest OS is designed not to send private financial entries such as transaction descriptions, balances, debts or savings-plan details to advertising services for ad targeting.

9. How information is used

Information processed by Nest OS may be used to:

• provide and operate app features

• authenticate users

• maintain user and household accounts

• calculate budgets, debt health, goals and financial planning results

• generate reports and exports

• provide household sharing features

• schedule reminders and notifications

• verify subscription entitlements

• maintain app security

• investigate abuse, fraud or technical problems

• provide customer support

• comply with legal obligations

10. Data sharing

Nest OS does not sell your personal financial information.

Information may be processed by service providers where required to operate Nest OS, including services used for:

• authentication and database hosting

• secure data storage

• Google Play Billing

• Google Mobile Ads

• app infrastructure and related technical services

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable contractual requirements.

11. Data security

Nest OS uses technical and access-control measures intended to protect stored information.

These include authenticated access, household permission rules and database access controls.

No online system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect access to their devices and accounts.

12. Data retention

Nest OS retains account and application data while it is needed to provide the service or for legitimate operational, security and legal purposes.

When an account deletion request is completed, associated personal data will be deleted or anonymized except where retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, payment or dispute-resolution purposes.

13. Account deletion

Nest OS users can request deletion of their account and associated data.

Where available, account deletion can be initiated from within the Nest OS app.

Google Play requires apps that permit account creation to provide both an in-app deletion path and an external web resource for deletion requests, and associated user data must be deleted rather than merely disabling the account.

14. Your choices

Depending on the feature and applicable law, you may be able to:

• update your profile information

• remove profile or household images

• disable notifications

• leave or manage a Shared Household where permitted

• manage or cancel Google Play subscriptions through Google Play

• request account deletion

• contact YaerYield about privacy questions

15. Children

Nest OS is intended as a personal and household financial-management application.

It is not designed as a child-directed financial service.

If future product functionality materially changes the intended audience, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.

16. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Nest OS features, service providers, legal requirements or data practices change.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will indicate the latest revision.
